Hans Christian Andersen (安徒生) 2005 is a worldwide celebration
of the famous Danish writer's bicentenary. Being one of the
35 key markets around the globe, The Ministry of Culture (國家文化部)
of China, Soong Ching Ling Foundation (宋慶齡基金會) and the Royal
Danish Embassy in Beijing (丹麥駐華大使館) will participate and make
the bicentennial one of the largest cultural projects in China.
BroadLearning has the honour of being appointed as the
official co-organizer for the Hans Christian Andersen 2005
in China, responsible for organizing exhibitions, nationwide
competitions and promotion events in Hong Kong, and being
the sole agent of product licensing of the cartoon characters
of "the Fairytales" of H. C. Andersen.
In China, a series of events will be organized throughout
the year in 2004 and 2005 in major cities. Major projects
include exhibitions, film comic of Andersen's fairy tales
publishing, 26 episodes of the TV cartoon series of the fairytales,
classical music for Andersen, nationwide writing, drawing
and drama competitions for children, classical opera of the
fairytales, educational research and so on. The official website

he has something vital to convey to children and adults alike.
His writings contain universal truths about human nature and

offers an opportunity to revitalize our approach in use of
