The Experimental Middle School attached to Beijing Normal University and Beijing BroadLearning Information Technology Limited jointly launched a project-based learning program using eClass Platform for the 2004 academic year. The project research work has involved more than 500 senior students and over 100 counseling teachers.

　　In this project, the school has integrated modern information technology into traditional education to provide students with a good learning environment, in which students' learning motivation is found to be greatly aroused. The program has made use of the open and sharable functionality of eClass Platform and its flexible grouping function to facilitate this new form of education -- online discussion, across-class topic selection and working group formation. To a large extent, the common communication problems among teachers and students in project-based learning have been resolved. The program has drawn not only the attention of the education sector but also the public media such as Zhongguo Jiao Yu Bao (中國教育報). The program is already in the next phase of the research at the moment.
